Overview

The eleven members of the Central/Southern Campus Compact region (Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas) have collaborated to establish and share a Speakers Bureau for civic engagement and academic service-learning. Hosted online at http://ccspeakersbureau.org, the website is maintained by the Oklahoma Campus Compact state office.

Purpose

The purpose of the Speakers Bureau is to provide member institutions of Campus Compact access to expertise on subjects in civic engagement and academic service, either from within the institution's state or from within the region. The database will be search-able by:

• Name
• State
• Type of Institution
• Current or Past Roles on Campus
• Type of Speaking/Consulting
• Civic Engagement/Academic Service-Learning Topic
• Academic Area

Process

All speakers listed are approved by their respective state Campus Compact office. Institutions will contact potential speakers directly. Speakers will negotiate their own arrangements and may charge fees or expense reimbursement. Neither Oklahoma nor any other state Campus Compact will receive any type of payment.
